When my son Tysen was diagnosed with Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes at just 9 years old, my entire world shifted. Suddenly, our days were filled with blood sugar checks, needles, sleepless nights, and endless worry. As a parent, I carried the heavy weight of guilt—wondering if I had somehow caused this, or if I had failed him.
If you’re a parent on this journey, I want you to know: you are not alone, and you are not to blame.
Over time, through pain and love, I discovered something greater—resilience, strength, and the healing power of love itself. And that’s why I created this video: to hold space for you, to bring comfort, and to remind you that you are enough.
