My dear friend, Rebecca Terry wrote this from the heart prior to Thanksgiving and has given me permission to share on her behalf with you. Let the words flow in and warm your heart ❤️ the same way they did mine, enjoy.
Today, as you prepare for Thanksgiving—the day of giving thanks—pause for a moment and invite love into your heart. Amid the bustling grocery aisles, the clinking of pots and pans, and the hum of preparation, remember the sacred energy that fuels your efforts. Each step, each dish, each task is an offering of your love, joy, and dedication to those you hold dear.
Let the smells of the food awaken your senses and ground you in the beauty of this day. Transform the busyness into a dance of delight, and let gratitude fill every corner of your being. How fortunate we are to have food for our tables, warmth in our homes, and the opportunity to gather in love. Truly, these are blessings not to be overlooked.
Today is more than a day of giving thanks—it marks the beginning of the season of love. As we move into the days leading to Christmas, the reason for the season shines brightly: love. Amidst the busyness that often comes with this time of year—the errands, the gatherings, the long to-do lists—remember that it is love that fuels these efforts. Love is the reason we wrap gifts, prepare meals, and create moments of joy for those we care about.
Let this day be the foundation of how you choose to move through this season. Instead of letting the busyness overwhelm you, allow it to be transformed into acts of love and peace. Each little thing you do is a reflection of the care you hold in your heart, and each moment offers a chance to connect with the divine purpose of this season.
Nurture yourself as well, and let the hard work you pour into your preparations be a testament to the depth of your love. With each meal prepared, each decoration placed, and each small task completed, infuse your intentions of gratitude and peace. Imagine that every action carries a blessing, touching not only the lives of those you serve but your own spirit as well.
This Thanksgiving and beyond, let love guide you. In every task, every gift, every gathering, let love be at the heart of all you do. Remember, love is the reason we do all the little things in life—and it is through these small, meaningful acts that we create a season filled with joy, connection, and peace.
You are a nurturer, a creator, and a giver of love. Today and throughout this season, embrace the blessing of this role and let it fill your heart with light. May love and gratitude carry you through each day, and may the spirit of this season bring peace to all who gather in its warmth.
